Here at SOGON Eastern, we are driven by a single goal: ensuring maternal health. For too long has the maternal mortality rate remained unacceptably high in Sub-Saharan Africa. We strive to utilize our knowledge, skills, research and low technology to fight this plague until pregnancy and childbirth become safe for every mother.

SOGON Eastern is a sector of The Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of Nigeria, covering the states of Abia, Akwa-Ibom, Anambra, Bayelsa, Cross River, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo and Rivers, and comprises of professionals in the field committed to women’s health in Nigeria and beyond.
